Just recently, I had the pleasure of joining an adorable couple, Mackenzie and Jason, at the idyllic locale of Windsong Farm Wedding and Events for a pre-wedding engagement photo session in Burns, TN. The couple had chosen the same location for their upcoming fall wedding and wanted to preface the big day with a few poignant snaps in the familiar surroundings. Our day started out at the barn, a rustic and charming backdrop that lent itself beautifully to the couple's love story. The weathered barn wood, and the surrounding expanses of greenery added a sense of warmth and nostalgia to the photographs. The couple's smiles were radiant and their love for each other, palpable.

As the day unfolded, we moved away from the barn and ventured towards the beautiful oak grove, where a tranquil pond offered another picturesque setting for the photos. The oak trees, their branches stretching out to the sky, created a canopy of shade over the pond, while the sunlight filtering through the leaves gave the entire scene a soft, dreamy glow. The reflections in the calm waters of the pond cast an enchanting spell, creating the perfect ambiance for the couple to share some tender moments, which were captured in the lens.

After taking a few shots by the pond, we decided to explore the surrounding woods. Wandering through the forest, the couple hand in hand, the rustling leaves underfoot and the sunlight peeping through the tall trees created an intimate atmosphere, resulting in some of my favorite shots of the day. The couple's playful laughter echoed through the woods, their happiness infectious.

The session ended on the patio, but the journey of Mackenzie and Jason was just beginning. From the moment I&nbsp;arrived, it was evident how much thought and effort the couple had put into every detail of their wedding. The Livery Stables Wedding - Pleasant View, TN - Codey & Katie

Recently, I&nbsp;had the pleasure of photographing an Indian ring ceremony at Valor Hall Conference &amp; Event Center in Oak Grove, KY. The ceremony was held in one of the Grand Ballrooms, which was beautifully decorated with long draping sheers, flowers, and a stage for a perfect backdrop. Jaymin &amp; Charmi, along with family and friends, were dressed in traditional attire, and they looked absolutely stunning.

After taking a few pictures in the neighboring park, we made our way inside to great their guests, and began with the first round of group family portraits. I&nbsp;truly felt at home while photographing such a large family. It reminded me of taking pictures of my large family every Fall, which is exactly what lead me down this journey years ago.
&nbsp;
From there, Jaymin &amp; Charmi made it official, and family members showered them with rose petals. They enjoyed the moment with their guest before we headed back outside for more photos. Since the sun had set hours prior, we were able to get creative with a flash, and we came away with several great shots. I alway enjoy using a flash outdoors at night, and never turn down the opportunity.

As we headed back inside, the reception had already kicked off. I&nbsp;love mingling with the crowd when the dance floor is rocking. It allows me to capture shots that make you feel like you are there with them, and the photos from this night definitely didn't disappoint.

Valor Hall Event Center Indian Ring Ceremony - Oak Grove, KY - Jaymin & Charmi

Keller's Country Events is a beautiful wedding venue located in Dickson, TN. I was recently invited to photograph a wedding there, and it was an absolutely stunning day. You would have never known that a fairly major storm rolled through just a few hours prior, but the show must go on and it couldn't have turned out any more perfect! The ceremony was held outdoors by a large pond, creating a picture perfect setting. Since both the bride and groom have ties with the local fire department, the bride arrived to the altar in style by way of an old Dickson Country firetruck. Once the "I do's" were said, the reception was moved to a 4,000 square foot barn located on the same grounds. The barn gave a perfect rustic, yet elegant, setting to eat and party shortly afterwards.

It was a beautiful day, and I am so happy that I was able to capture it all. I hope everyone that attended are able to cherish these photos and video for years to come.

Keller’s Country Events Wedding - Dickson, TN - Sam & Jeremy

Dunbar Cave State Park is a beautiful place to have an engagement shoot. The park is home to a variety of natural features, including a cave, towering rock walls, a lake surrounded by a walking path, and several wooded trails. These features provide a variety of backdrops for your photos, and the park's peaceful atmosphere is perfect for capturing the love between you and your partner.

I&nbsp;was lucky enough to be invited by Nick for not only a couples shoot between him and his girlfriend, Amber, but what was intended to be a surprise engagement shoot. I started by keeping things casual with simply holding a light hearted conversation with the couple, and snapping a few pictures as they walked side by side. From there, I continued to keep things light and casual with some easy posing. Nothing fancy, just a few poses that felt natural and genuine. All I&nbsp;had to do was find the right moments to click the shutter button.

Afterwards, we were ready for the big moment. I found a nice spot by the lake, and gave Nick the nod that I was ready whenever he would be. I&nbsp;told Amber that I&nbsp;had an idea for a shot, and positioned her with her back to Nick. Once I backed up a few feet, I asked her to turn around. As she turned around, there was Nick on bended knee. "Yes" soon followed, after a few tears of course.

It was an absolute honor to be a part of such a beautiful and intimate moment. There are no do-overs with a moment like this, and it was such a privilege to be entrusted with capturing it. I will never forget it, and I hope the pictures help them with reliving that day for years to come.

The Smith-Trahern Mansion is a beautiful historic home located in Clarksville, Tennessee. The mansion is now a popular wedding venue, and it's easy to see why. The home's elegant architecture provide a stunning backdrop for any wedding ceremony and reception. The perfect natural light that can be found upstairs, the sparkling chandelier in the grand ballroom, and the mansion itself as the perfect backdrop for photos.

I had the please of photographing a small intimate wedding here, and it was such a wonderful experience. The bride's niece sang her down the isle, as well as providing a wonderful ambiance throughout the ceremony. Afterwards, the reception was held in the mansion's dining room. The guests were lively, and so thrilled to be celebrating the special day with the couple.
